Casttec 44

Casttec 44 is an off-white, long open time precast adhesive designed to withstand repeated pour cycles without needing to be replaced. Casttec 44 has been specifically formulated to bond the most difficult materials including PP and PE and light foam-work, and has the ability to be applied as a spray as well as a bead.

Replacing the need for welding or bolting inserts to precast forms, Casttec 44 provides a less destructive, cost-saving alternative for precast concrete manufacturers.

Casttec 44 will begin to crystalise after around 8–10 hours, allowing for easy removal beyond the 24–48-hour period. The adhesive also has double the open time of any other Casttec adhesive, allowing much larger and more complex inserts to be glued before being bonded to the necessary substrate.
